will a will with a 38MM offset fit on the focus its a 02 Se sedan

i wouldnt go more than 42 i think you can get away with 40 but not 38

Spacers would make the problem worse. In effect, they subtract from the offset, not add to it.

its going to stick out past your fenders and your wheel lugs arn't going to be long enough to have adequate threads for the lug to catch on.
I wouldn't suggest it for safety's sake. Granted oyu could just get longer studs, but you'll be throwing off the handling characteristics of the car by pushing the wheel so far out |

but see what i dont get it how come a 40mm would work but a 38 wont

Nobody said yes 40 would work. It might with the right tire choice but most likely will rub.
38 is only going to make that worse, pushing the wheel further out. Stay between 42 and 49 and you should be fine. J. |

Yes they will "work" but I guess you could also get a set of 33" mud boggers on there if you want too. It is just not an ideal setup.
