Default grinding sound, tires??

i put my svt wheels on today an imeadiatly noticed a grinding like sound while brakeing, the tires are the ones that where on the rims when i got them (used) and the tires have bad feathering. the car made no noise before, nothing seems to be rubbing, and the rims are down tight.

just whant to check to see if this is normal (kinda) and im ordering new tires today i just had to get the winter tires off.

Default Re: grinding sound, tires??

Grinding while braking doesn't sounds like anything that could possibly be related to the tires.

I'd pull your rims and check your brakes. See if the rotors are scored at all. Maybe something got onto the rotor and the pad caused it to score the rotor.

I've never heard of a noise like this coming from a tire.
