Default Cooper CS4 tires?

I need new all-season tires for the Focus. The local tire guy recommended the Cooper CS4 touring tires. Does anyone have these? I had been considering the Bridgestone Potenza G 009, but the Coopers are $120 less. I currently have BF Goodrich Traction T/A's. Will I notice a large performance difference with touring tires? I don't drive very aggressively. The Coopers and Bridgestones are H-rated, while my current Traction T/A's are V-rated.

You will be taking two steps down from the tire you are driving today, one by category "High Performance" to "Touring" and one step down from "V" speed rated to "H". You said you are not an aggressive driver and to be honest with you, most average drivers can not tell the difference between one drop or increase in speed ratings. Having said that, if you do notice a difference, the "H" rated touring tires will feel a little sloppy compared to your current tires!

I think you'd notice a difference. I noticed a big difference in the dry performance of my G009s vs my old Falken Ziex and they're in the same general class. The G009s perform a bit worse in the dry, but FAR FAR FAR better in wet and snow. What about Yokohama AVID H4S? My buddies have these and loveum, and you can get them from the 'Rack too!

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I can weigh in here. I found this link while researching these tires for my wifes new car. I purchased these tires for my 07 ST in January of 2009. I have driven them through all four seasons in Michigan's weather. I drive over an hour each way from work. I would recommend them anyone. I like em so much I'm putting them on the wifes new vehicle. I'll do ya one even further, heres my homework I did pricewise for these tires for the wifes car.
