Default Re: Wheel Lug Patterns

Hoosiers tend to run wide in the narrower sizes (cheater tire) but larger sizes seem to be on par with other brands (275 in particular). For example, the 225/45R17 hoosier is significantly wider than a 235/40R17 NT01.

Ford has a habit of picking unpopular lug patterns for their cars. I remember how hard it was to find some wheels I liked for my old 94 Thunderbird.

Was it the same lug pattern as the Foci?

Nope, the Thunderbird Bolt pattern was 5x4.25. All SN95 and S197 Mustangs come in a 5x4.5 bolt pattern. If Ford had just gave the Thunderbird the same bolt pattern as the Mustang than my wheel choices would have been pretty much limitless, lol. Same story with the Focus.
