I know the stock lug pattern for my car is 4X108, but 4X100 seems to be much more available. Is there any way to use these?

There is a way. But it's not cheap. You'd spend more converting to it (relatively speaking) than you would just finding wheels you like in the correct pattern.

Yes, sorry. Checked that, couldn't find anything other than bumper stickers and shirts and whatnot. Did you mean in their For Sale forum?

An adapter like that will require an offset of +75 or more to work within the fenderwells of the Focus.
Finding a 4x100 with that type of offset will be just as hard as finding 4x108 wheels you like.

I may be able to work with less offset. My fenderliners have long been taken out, and I am running coilovers, so I have no spring perches in the way. I've also rolled the fenders a FEW times ![]()

Well, with all of that what kind of wheel are you lookin for? Width, depth, cost range, colors, etc. Just like with the 4x100 offered wheels there's going to be quite a few choices. Ford has a fairly decent array of OEM wheels in 17x7 that are cheap (~ $100 a wheel) or you can go to forged wheels like DPE or Centerline that can be super expensive. There's a lot out there, you just have to know where to look... and who to ask.

I am trying to find a set of 15X8 dedicated for autocross use. I've seen a couple of different styles by Rota that are 15X7.5 with the correct lug pattern, but in the 8" width, I can only find 4X100. I guess for my odd interest in small, wide wheels, I'm not going to come across much variety.

I've seen Diamond Racing wheels, which are awesome...except that they weigh almost as much as my whole car, haha! Are the Basset racing the same way? I'm not too familiar with them.

I don't know about all that...I would only use these wheels for auto-x, and I don't want to disrupt the structural integrity of my hubs.

I would not use an adapter plate for an autoX car. They put added stress on the lugs which can cause them to fail.. esp when you are running hard turns..

Well, I may end up going with the 7.5 width wheels anyway (Rota). My brother assures me that in his little world, he can mount a 235, or maybe even a 245 tire on those wheels. I won't argue with that, but he's buying me new R1s if he can't make them fit...

There are a few 'Jetters who have mounted a 235 on a 7.5" wheel. It isn't ideal, but the Falken looks pretty good. I wouldn't recommend stuffing a 245 on there though.
All tires have different respective sizes. I'm a crew chief for a race team in SoCal and we run a 235/40 on a 17x8. That size Nitto NT01 is actually pinched on an 8" wheel.

It helps to have a healthy sidewall when installing a fat tire on a narrow wheel. |
