I have a guy offering me 4 continental tires but the size is 215/40/17 instead of 215/45/17 are they going to be ok on my svt or should i not buy them. he only want $200.

Are they in good condition?
215/40/17's should be ok, thats what I run on my Zx3 (non-svt) but I do have the SVT EAP's and a 2" drop.

That tire size will work, but your wheels are slightly more susceptible to damage from potholes etc.

Also, your speedometer will be off by a few percent. The Speedo will SAY that you're going a little faster than you actually are.
