Default Anyone running 8" wide wheels??

Well, I finally found a wheel that I like that is very similar to the ASA AR1's. Only problem is it only comes in a 18x8. I can get it with an offset of 40, but is that going to be enough to keep it inside the fender wells? I really don't want to roll the fenders before anyone suggest that. I would consider using a LITTLE bit of stretch also.

Its gonna sit pretty close to sitting outside the fender, or pretty flush. Not rubbing depends on your drop and tire size...

I'm runing a Progress 1.8" drop and as far as tire size goes I'm willing to stretch or run some pretty small ones since I plan to only run these wheels for shows/meets.

215/35/18 is pretty much the smallest tire most manufacturers make that you can run on an 18. you'll get a small amount of stretch but probably not enough to clear the fenders without rolling or running a fair amount of camber front and rear.
Toyo makes the T1-R in a 205/35/18 which would get you closer to the right amount of stretch and is a pretty small tire so you might clear the fenders...

personally, i'd get the idea out of your head that rolling isn't an option. if you want those wheels and the look, rolling is probably going to be your best bet for getting the fitments right.

why don't you want to roll the fenders?

I have the rather rare 205/35 R 18 on mine. Sometime I wish I had gone for a bigger tire, but the wheels are not daily used, so its no big deal. But I do love the stretch...

We run 18x8 on two of our Focuses. Man, they are a tight fit. The offset and tire BRAND really can make a huge difference. I say this because our Toyo T1-R in a 215/35/18 is WAY smaller than our BFG KDW in the same size.

Thats what I noticed when I had my 215/35 BFG KDWII's. They seems huge, thats why I returned them and picked up the Toyos in a smaller size. I kinda wish I kept the BFG's now since it would given more sidewall.

I've got 18x8 team dynamics with 225's, i am not sure of the offset of them. roush suspension. They rub the outside of the fender really badly. got the wide body kit on the way though.
