I think some guys have done 8.5s in the rear, but It required some camber to complete. We will let the pro's chime in

I think some people on here have run 17x9 et30. 215/40 possibly. And a fender roll/pull.

Most will say KW coilovers.

without changing anything?

considering nobody knows where you are starting from that's pretty hard to say.
if you are stock height you can stuff 11" wide rims in the rear.. it would stick out a ton and look pretty stupid.

how low are you? what year and model? stock brakes? you have any idea what style you are going for?

FYI...
buy the wheels but don't install them until you get the coilovers...... will look really goofy with a little poke and stretch without the drop and the gap will look even bigger!

QFT!!!! Please don't don't install the wheels until your already lowered...fitting them is fine.

To answer your question, 17x9 is a fairly easy fit. Moula has 17x10s in the rear, but he is bagged. Another member has 17x9.5 with a et35. His wheels are a VERY tight fit. Unless you want a lot of poke you really have to watch your offset when you go with 9"+ wide wheels. I have 17x9s (et30 with 215/40 tires) and can barely fit my finger between the inside of the wheel and the shock body. If your going with 9s I would HIGHLY recomend rolling your fenders and investing in SPC's control arms to adjust your rear camber. Going with this setup is very dependant on how low you want to be and what size tire you go with.

Sure why not.

17x9s in the rear, 17x8s up front on KW coilovers

yeah, you do. pretty hard to fit a squared up tire over a 9" wheel under the fenders of a focus without a lot of rubbing.

dean,
Quit F*cking Talking??

Ok, I always wonder why people want wide wheels? What is your plan for the car? Normally people mount wide wheels for either, A: Track use and big meaty tires. or B:Wide wheels, stretched tires, and stanced out suspension.

So whats the point of your wide wheels?

I have 7.5" wide wheel w/ 225 width tires and a +45 offset. They rub in the rear ever so slightly with a pretty good drop. Anything bigger on the tire and you will have issues. An 8-9" wide wheel with squared tires will never work unless you are raised way up or have cut/flared fenders.

O2,
i wonder the same thing too, more so on a stock suspension car....?
You and i and a few others need to get together on MSN or something and make up a big FAQ about wheel fitment or something!

lol
how about you get that done first and then we can sort you out, most guys mini-tub the rear so they can put some 10s or 11s in there and 275s or bigger!
