Default Good brakes with low dust?

Anyone know of a good set of brakes or just brake pads that will cut down on brake dust but still be able to stop nicely?
Guy at auto zone was telling me about some ceramics that he put on his lexus that have cut down on dust allot and the pads are only $42.
What are some good brakes for the Focus.
02.5 ZX5 BTW.

If you are not hammering on your brakes, the motorcraft OE replacement pads aren't terrible. I've autocrossed with them a couple times as well. To be honest, if the pads create no dust, the tend not to stop well either.

I understand that but this is ridiculous. I have always hated the abundance of brake dust on the focus.
Its not like a hang on my brake either. If anything I probably do not use my brakes more than most. I downshift all the time.

Fords line of Motorcraft pads seem to be a little better about dust than the OEM's were if you're interested in them at all.

BTW-pay close attention to BMW's and the way they tend to have very dark front wheels.

Brake dust, I'ts not just for cheap cars anymore

I got my motorcraft pads from Steve

I have been very happy with them for the daily driver. I would swap them out for track duty though.

I'm actually at the point where I have just decided to paint my wheels charcoal.
That way they are always clean!

I have those as well and I concur. Mintex pads throw hella dust and it's caustic as hell too.

I have even been curious enough to try those inner wheel caps so it wouldnt make the wheels so hard to clean but I know they look stupid.
I wasnt sure about the using them though due to maybe cooling of the brakes but I have seen cadillacs come with them.

Who makes stock 17" wheels with our bolt pattern? I looked up Kleen wheels and all they have is 14, 15 and 16" kinds. I am using my ford racing 17 tuner wheels so I am guessing they would not work.

Hawk HPS. I put them on nine months ago, they stop as advertised (VERY good) and brake dust is very minimal. I was expecting a bit more dust (the OEM were awful in my book), but they are very, very clean.

Ceramic pads are supposed to have less brake dust AND perform better then non-ceramic pads. I'm pretty happy with my EBC red stuff pads. All pads are going to produce brake dust....some do more then others though.
