Default Blizzaks Comparison

205/45/16 Yokohama Avid H4S on a 16x7et45 replaced with
185/65/15 Bridgestone Blizzak WS6 on 15x6et52

First impression of the tires...I love 'em. No more 4th gear traction issues (roll-on). In fact, I have to try pretty hard and the road has to be pretty bad to get 'em to brake loose in 2nd. And even still the engine doesn't wrap up like I'm in neutral, it is still fighting for traction, steering wheel a jitterin'. Snow traction, absolutely no comparison. I think the size difference is a lot, but the car actually turns in. With the other setup, it just pushes. It didn't matter how much throttle I used, the FWD would not pull itself through the corner. Now it will. Ice traction, like I said, much much more progressive brake-away. Brake traction is much, much better. The car actually pitches now It is amazing how it messes with your mind when brake traction is so little, the car doesn't pitch. It makes it very difficult to tell if the tires are still rolling or not.

Cons - to be expected, handling is worse. Can't really compare it to my 225/45 RS2 on 15x7.5et45 Steering response is not great, but that sluggish response has to help in the snow. The tire is a bit noisy, but that was the volume knob is for.

A big from this guy
