Went out to install the new OEM SVT pads on my 02 SVT and I've found that the new pads are just a little bit "narrower" than the originals. So they are too short to fit inside the grooves of the caliper bracket. Comparing them to the originals, the "hooks" at the ends of the backing plates seem to be about 2-3mm closer together on the new ones. Plus the overall thickness of the hook section seems to be bigger, such that only a serious amount of grinding is going to make them work.
Other than this, everything on the pad looks the same. What's up? |

Take them back to where you got them and tell them you got the wrong pads. Take the ones you took off with to to show them what the problem is.
