Default Arctic Circle Winter Tire Test

Our tire testers participated in a winter tire test in Sweden and have posted their results. The test focused on three different studless ice and snow tires and had some interesting results. The Continental Extreme Winter Contact showed very strong numbers and looks to be a good alternative to the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 and the Michelin X-Ice Xi2. If you're in the market for new winter tires, I'd definitely recommend checking out this test

I would have liked to see the General in this test as well. As a studdable tire, it's not likely to match the ice performance of these 3 tires. Any studdable tire will have a little harder rubber compound to make sure the studs don't go flying out of the tire. This puts it at a disadvantage over the non-studdable winter tires. However, the Generals should be better than just about any other studdable tire out there.

I'm personally curious how the Conti's would fare against its sibling, the Gislaved Nord Frost 5.
