SVT gearshift cable - The Ford Focus Forum

Steve - I just got my SVT back from the dealer and was informed that I need to replace my gearshift cable. I can't reliably shift it into 4th gear (all other gears 1/2/3/5/6/R work fine). Dealer quoted me something like $500 for the new part and installation. Figured I'd just buy the part and do it myself. I looked but could not find a part number. Also, in the service manual it looks like there are (2) cables...if I'm replacing (1) should I just do both at same time? Can you supply the part(s)? If so, can you give me a quote?

Also, do you have any more of the shift knobs in stock? Either red or black would work since my car is silver with the red interior. Thanks!

Also - the cables do come in pairs, so you have to replace them both at once.

We usually have them in stock and they come as a set.
