Default Looking at a 05 ZX5 SES...

Hello fellow board members, like many others I’ve popped in to ask a question or two. I am in Toronto and looking at a 2005 Focus ZX5 SES with 78000 kilometers. Love the color (Copper) and int and body are perfect. It’s fully loaded with all the toys and is a 5 speed. It’s listed at 6900.00 before taxes and admin charges so I believe it will be around 8500.00 when said and done.
Question 1, without having much knowledge about these cars I’d like to see what fellow members think about the price.
Question 2 are there any trouble spots I should look for on the test drive or just general things I’d check on any used car.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Welcome to FocalJet.

I think I found the car here.

The mileage is average. However, that price is much LOWER than what's being sold by dealers on trader.ca. That, to me, is a sign there's possibly a story with the car. Is this a Canadian car, or is this a US car that's been brought up here to sell? Since the front bumper doesn't show any holes or screws drilled into the bumper, either that's a car from out-of-province or possibly the US.

The "options" list also shows incorrect/misleading features like "rain sensing wipers", "cd changer" and "premium audio". The stereo just looks like your standard CD/radio.

Overall, the price alone has my senses thinking there's a bit more to the car. Ultimately, it's your choice in wanting to buy it. Just make sure you take all the usual stuff into account like test drives, Carproof/Carfax searches, independent inspection.
