I've eliminated the EGR. Can you disable the function in the EEC-V?

Also, I sometimes run a high compression NA setup, and other times a turbocharger setup. Can you give me two programs for the NA setup, and two for the turbo setup?

I would like to run the same 42lb injectors for both.

Thanks.

Does buying the automatic 16V Zetec include the automatic shift program? Or is that the ECU on the automatics are different and there for require a different programming?

Yes, we can turn off the EGR system thru the ECU. High compression turbo does not sound like a great idea. That should be dyno tuned IMO.

Why don't you just call me, Trever?

We have transmission specific programming. Our chips and flashers come with a primary file that can have shifting adjustments if that's what you're after.

Our programs with the XCal2 give the end user the control to make some shifting adjustments if desired.

Again from europe. (On a 2.0 duratec HE ecu code 3CGC).

We know that European OBDII has the same form and shape with American, so the Xcalibrator might be placed regularly.
However the question is if theese two are compatible.
And if the Xcalibrator can communicate to a european ecu and upload the data.

Need help.

If you are from europe forget it.
You will have to pay 750€ to get the same device with a different sticker on it (about 994,43$)....

I have 2 foci, both have the same zetec engine except one is an early 2000 and other is 2001. Both are the zx3

One would need the pro racer package eventually and the other is my daily driver and would only get a basic tune.

is there a way I can tune both without having to buy 2 seperate flashers and software at full price

maybe I could pay extra to have the xcal2 locked to 2 vins instead of just one if thats possible

No, you'd have to buy two XCal2 flashers. There is no way around it.

Randy, I have a second-hand X Cal 1. I called your shop earlier and they said I'd have to ship the unit to you. I'm afraid I was rushed on my lunch hour, so I didn't ask to speak to you directly (since you've made it clear in many threads that we should speak to you).

Here's my situation: I downloaded the Extreme Tune software and successfully unlocked (aka erased) the X Cal 1. I wanted to purchase a basic FS tune on the phone and have it emailed. Your rep said no, not with the X Cal 1.

I thought email tunes predated the X Cal 2. Isn't that the whole point of having a flasher?

TIA...

We don't email XCal1 files since they aren't really encrypted. The XCal2 files are and so we'll email those.

I have had my chip for a while. Now I live in Alaska and have to get it emissoins tested. When I go to program #4 (stock) does the computer reconize it automatically or do I have to drive around before I take it to get inspected?

You'll need to take the chip out completely. Just using slot 4 will still not allow the emissions equipment to connect properly to your car and you would fail.

If you have a flasher you can just flash back to stock or depending on the performance program, you might be able to leave it in.

Is this also true for passing emissions tests in Canada? They are required here (Ottawa, Ontario) every 2 years. Having to pull the chip out complete seems like a pain.
