I recently purchased a locked Xcal 2 and when i unlock it, Do you sell the tunes that would normally come with the unit?

I was told to use Focus Sport for that.

My car is a 2002 Focus DOHC ATX w/ Header/2.25" Flex and 2.25" MBRP CATBACK
and AEM short ram intake.

My email is Amerieagle18@aol.com

I would like to get in touch with you about this please.

Thank you very much

Hmmm......Randy, not seeing what I need to know in here......if I get Powerworks ECU reflash, can i safely use my Xcal2 to adjust some of the paramaters like fan temps, etc, and will the datalogging capability still be there, or will the PW reflash offer a whole new animal that is not compatible with my Xcal......Also, do you know if PW can just add thier program to my Xcal2?

No, you can't use the XCal2 to adjust the PW programming. You'd need custom tuning and that is not something we offer for PW equipped cars. PW will not adjust your programming, sorry.

Im about to buy an XCal2 from a guy with the same ECU code as me...im not sure if he unlocked it or not because he said the original ECU he used was fried...so whats that mean for me would I have to unlock it and retune it or just get a new tune since we have the same ECU code

If he fried the ECU, he didn't unlock it first, chances are. It will cost $150 plus shipping to get it unlocked. Then we charge $100 per program since its used. I'd buy a new one.

I bought my chip about 4 years ago from F/S and it is neither red or green. It is blue. What does that mean?

It means you have a very early chip that we cannot reprogram. You'd have to buy a new chip or flasher.

The XCal2 flashers that we program and sell will work on your Focus, yes.

So if I found a unlocked used one it would not work. Can I sent it to you to program or do I need to buy new from you?

i have an 01 zetec. i have removed the egr system (not really by my choice this time). otherwise i have a apex-i ws exhaust. it will be some time before i have real money for any more mods. what options would most benefit me with only having a cat-back and no egr? im only getting one tune now, so i need to make it count

i was going to order online but some of the options i was not entirely sure would or would not benefit me. like the alternator disabled at WOT .. get it because i can? or pass

Less is more IMHO. I'd only get what you know you need or want. If you aren't sure, I'd leave it alone.

I have has a SCT chip for a few years and it rocks. My question is I live in Alaska and we only have 90 octane, is that going to effect my car? Should I just run the 87 octane program?

Just don't run a tune for an octane rating higher than you can fuel up with. You could get something for 89.
