Default what\'s the best way to get \"winterized\"

right now i'm running 5w30 mobil 1 synthetic and redline coolant.....what should I change (fluid wise) to get ready for the cold months? different weight oil? different coolant? anything else that i'm not thinking of?

oil should be just fine. if the coolant says it protects down t0 -40 deg F then its fine too. if you don't have the right mixture of coolant, then you could have a problem, but as long as the antifreeze protection is there, you have no problem.

Check the serpentine belt for cracks. If it is flaky or has multiple deep cracks, it could go bad during cold months.

Detail your car so salt doesn't eat through the paint. Make sure your coolant is at least 50/50 Coolant/Water.
