AEM & FOCALJET's Filter Contest - FREE Intake! - Focaljet

Hey Everyone,

This is Sami from AEM, I am excited to present Focaljet with the DRYFLOW Dirty Filter Contest. Make sure to thank Ron for approving this contest for FJ members! Lets get as much participation as possible because we’re giving away great prizes for the winners of this contest. Getting involved is really easy; all you have to do is post a photo of your dirty air filter along with a couple sentences saying why you are in need of AEM’s DRYFLOW air filter. At the close of this contest April 24th, 2008, an AEM rep will review all of the entries and the winners will be chosen.

Remember, only the dirtiest filters will win! And let’s face reality here; if your air filter is super dirty, what do you think your engine is breathing? So, at the very least, open your hood, inspect your filter, snap a pic and post it here. If you want go a step further, get a photo to show the inside of the filter too. You could be the one to win the 1st place prize of a brand-new AEM air intake system or the 2nd and 3rd place prizes of AEM promotional gear (Hats, T-Shirts, etc.)

We can easily assume a lot of members will be getting creative with their entries. To help you out, here are some links to more information on DRYFLOW performance air filters. Good luck!

Lol is this just for intake filters or air filter in general? When I went to go get my oil changed after getting my car, I found out that the people before me put the wrong filter in my car, the thing was huge and nasty I was like

!!! Good times. But now I have a Volant on my car so eh.

I would assume I cant take pics of the decrapitated filters I see at work everyday.

almost disappointed that I recently cleaned my K&N.

Although if AEM would like to sponser project RoRo Revive with a better air filter than the METAL SCREEN that came on the soon to be modified ebay intake I grabbed, that would be pretty awesome.

hey guys, thanks for the posts. the filters can be stock filters, aftermarket, any brand, it doesnt matter... I just want to see the most ridiculously dirty filter out there.

Wow, I wish I would have seen this Saturday. Saturday I cleaned my AEM filter. I completely forgot about it (stupid on my part) and it hadn' tbeen cleaned in maybe 40,000miles. I mean, it was freaking nasty looking. CHUNKS of dirt on it. It took a few hours to clean properly. Now my car runs so much better.

oohhh, the one from the Toaster is freakin filthy, let me see if its still in the trash.

I believe an old man farted into the intake tubing and thus a desert appeared on the filter.

Here's the Focus to start. This filter used to be a nice blue color from Volant, but now has turned a nice dirt brown. Never been cleaned to boot! I'm sure I'd see a bit more than a measly 112whp if I swapped to something that flowed a bit more and didn't have to be oiled which just fouls the MAF. Every little bit helps when you're making this little power!

Here's the XR. I have no idea how old this filter is or how many times it has been cleaned. All I know is that dirty turd is hindering some healthy air flow. Making 15psi feeding a 2.3 Lima through that filter is a lot harder than it should be!
