Default Car will not rev past 7K

So im totally confused as to what is happending, mabey you can help.

For some reason, the car @ WOT will not rev all the way out to 7500 rpms which is where I have MSD DIS II box set at.
Now this is what I have done so far, replaced plugs swaped back and forth couple times from AZFS-22C Motor crafts Now im with Denso Iridiums. Brand new coil pack.

Each time I try to rev out, itll rev limit, if you will, at eh 6800 rpms when I have MSD set at 7500.

Now, I did bypass MSD and it still will not alow the limiter I wish, My tuner has fuel cut @ 8K

sounds like the stock limiter is still in place... but with the ignition box you shouldnt be needing the stock computer..

is the coil pack hooked up to the factory harness or is it hooked to the box?

Well I should have provided more info, The car is fully built, 350 WHP turbo. My tuner set stock limiter or fuel cut to 8K.

I have MSD going into a harness I purchased so I wouldnt have to cut into the coil pack wires. Also note, I did bypass MSD and ran off just the stock coil pack.

Were you able to take it out past 7K prior to installing the MSD?

It sounds to me like its a computer issue still. I'd double check with the tuner and see what he did.

My sct tuner had a tough time defeating my limiter also. I have one tune in my X-cal with No rev limit and one with the stock limit. I am unable to set the limiter with the X-cal 2 with either tune. I believe there is an electronic fuel pump cut-off in the computer that is the problem with mine

Are you free reving or driving ? Do you have a A/F gauge, if so what is it reading at 6800?

yeah, is this in neutral or in gear that you are reving. there is a neutral rev limiter in the ecu that has to be adjusted also.

Is it running out of air?

My setup on the stock MAF runs out of air at about 7100 RPMs and stumbles and misses just like a rev limiter would.

Just have the tuner datalog the car. The source should be relatively obvious at that point.
