Default Re: short shifter

I am surprised that nobody said anything about the CFM short throw shifter.

The CFM short throw shifter is the only shifter on the market that will allow someone to adjust the shifter height. This is superior to any other shifter on the market that has that one size fits all type of thinking to it.

We have customer that will put it to the lowest setting at the track for the quickest shortest throw than later on adjust it back up when driving around. If someone does not like the height setting it is at, they just need to adjust it to their liking.

Also another good thing about the shifter is there are no welds to break.

Thats pretty cool, even though I dont need one, and adaptation of customization to ones driving techniques is cool in my book

Yeah, and CFM has great quality parts. You can't go wrong there.

I have the CFM one, they're not lying, its a very well manufactured piece. I almost didn't want to put the boot back on, it looks that cool. It uses 3 set screws to adjust the height of the 2 piece lever.. Just remember to torque the set screws down hard, mine hasn't moved since I put it in though

Also you have to move the airbag wires on this one as well or it will rub, so the fulcrum has moved.

Its really quite a short throw, and will make the shifter feel notchier, so I put a weighted shifter ball on the end of it and it smoothed it out a lot. Pair it with a rear engine mount and you've got an awesome shifting car

you probably still will... all the shifters shorten the front/back movement, but don't do anything for the side to side movement...
