i googled it and its posted at focus fanatics

"Based off that picture it has of it, it looks al ittle long..like it wont fitr under the hood. Based off that picture, it looks like it would sit right behind the drivers side headlight...which is where the battery is. maybe its the angle, but is it suppose to be a cold air intake? There isn't any real science to intakes. its just wider diameter and less restriction. a pipe is a pipe. the only thing to monitor is the housing that the maf is in...other then that, the only thing that might cause issues would be if it has a cheap filter, that might restrict air."

That quote was referring to a generic picture. Right at the bottom it stated that is was not model specific.

Also, there is some science to intakes. Air flow has been well studied, and path length as well as diameters are known to effect intake efficiency up and down a plottable curve. Bigger is only better up to a point, higher air velocity at usable rpms is what you tune for. Also, air has been observed and measured to move faster through a flutted inlet with either a round or elliptical inlet, than a flat ended, 90deg ended, or thin walled tube. The Pipercross stuff seems like it could be the real deal, and ITG sure has that figured out.

This is a true statement. There was a very noticable upgrade in power when I went from an open element cone to my closed ITG box.

The Steeda intake is not expensive, in the realm of decent parts. My suggestion is that if you want to have a fun car, make sure you buy good parts, even if it takes a little longer to save up for them. This Spyder intake appears to be an OBX knockoff, which is pretty much an AEM knockoff. They are all cone-on-a-stick type design, which I think is kind of played out, and not the most efficient. I would be looking for either a Volant, Pipercross, or FS Cool-flo.

I'm still hoping you'll go to boost...
