has anyone here installed a short shifter on their focus?
i have a 2004 zx3 and just had some questions on how to install, keep in mind i am a total newby at tuning and am learning as I go, i am good at building computers so I can usually figure my way through stuff
here we go: when you were installing the shifter, how did you get that "plate" off of the stock shifter? the way the shifter works I would have to imagine you still use it, but cannot figure a way i would get it off then get it onto the aftermarket one (http://i20.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/89/37/8160_1.JPG) thanks in advance  |

just an update to everyone, the B&M short shifter is installed with no problems, much shorter throw. put in a new shifter boot and ebrake boot while it was all pulled out
while I was at it I also got one of those nifty 'focus' logo shifters from ebay, looks very sharp |
