What was your "smokin' hot" deal, if you don't mind my asking?

I can't find any numbers/stamping anywhere on them. Physically they look like JE or CP.

Ok, once I replace the stock main bolts with ARP studs (and have it line honed)..... When re-attaching the rods back to the crank do I just torque the ARP rod bolts to the factory setting or is there a rod-specific torque setting that should be used?

You should be able to verify in the factory service manual, but stock rod bolts are normally torque-to-yield, which means you torque them to a preset amount and turn them something like an additional quarter turn which further stretches the bolt. The ARP bolts are designed to install preferably by measuring bolt stretch using a stretch gauge and secondarily by torque measurement alone with no additional turn(s).

There's some info on their site at the following links you may want to take a look at.

Rod bolt stretch and torque specs:

I don't know that i would worry with line honing it.
