He may already have the wiring for his car, so what he tells you may not be relevant to a US Focus. It appears that he is in the Netherlands.
Kind of funny that Ford puts out a "Centennial Sport Edition" In Europe for the 2003's which is the 100TH anniversary-in the US! They haven't been anywhere else for a hundred years! Kind of insult to injury for not giving us the RS-or the Mk2. OK rant complete. They had better make up for it on these Mk3's!!!! (i.e. performance models in the US)

just wire the ambientlight up to your lightcontrol switch. So when you turn on your headlights the ambient-LED's form the maplight wil go on too. Not that hard!
