So I ran my car down the strip a month or so ago and i was wondering about my times.
It's an 11, 5-speed, only mod is a fswerks exhaust.
Fastest time was 16.092 at 85.74.
My 60 foot times were all between 2.428 and 2.493
is this somewhat decent for a first time at the track?

Almost a 15 second pass for a near stock car, yeah thats pretty good.

If you had cut your 60ft a bit, say down to a 2.2, that would have been a 15.6 pass. Which is very respectable.

Now get some hard parts on that car and get it in the 90mph range, then hit some 14's.

pretty much you should be able to 2.0 60' on a street tire. just practice more

if I could 2.0 60' my 500 rwtq lightning on stock 60k mile goodyears, then you can do it in your focus

Yeah, having RWD with a truck that weighs nearly 5,000lbs and on a 295 tire, a 2.0 60ft isn't all that surprising. Make that tire a 195-205 tire on a 2,700lbs FWD car and you're not gripping anything.

My best time on street tires (Dunlop Star Specs) was a 13.52 @ 105mph with a 2.11 60ft. The only change made was slicks and I went a 1.91 60ft and 12.93 @ 105mph.
