Good morning, FSWerks. I am currently installing an older FocusSport turbo system that I've upgraded to a Garrett GTX2867R. I'd like to add in a coolant circuit for the turbo, but I'm not certain where to tap into the system for feed/return. Do you guys have any input?

Thanks as always for your time!

I'll butt in if you don't mind too, and agree that is sounds like a good spot to tee in. I don't recall the exact plumbing on the Mk1, but you want to make sure wherever you tee in, you do it inside the thermostat loop. This will keep coolant flowing through the turbo at all times as opposed to only when the thermostat opens.

Ford did it this exact way on the Merkur. Coolant flows out from the block, into the turbo, and then exits the turbo to the heater core, which then comes back to the water neck inside the thermostat.
